My journey: From struggle to strength
For most of my adult life, I was at war with my own body. At my heaviest, I weighed well over 400 pounds, and I carried more than just the physical weight - I carried the shame, the medical complications, the exhaustion of doctors who talked to me like I was a problem to be solved rather than a person to be heard. I had high blood pressure, joint pain that made basic movement feel like punishment, sleep apnea that left me waking up more tired than when I went to bed, and a creeping sense that my life was shrinking even as I was growing larger. I tried every diet. I tried every program. I was not lazy, and I was not without willpower — I was without the right tools, the right support, and the right understanding of what was happening in my own body.
The decision to have bariatric surgery did not come easily. It came after years of failed attempts and a long, honest conversation with myself about what I wanted the next decade of my life to look like. I want to be clear about something that is often misunderstood: bariatric surgery is not the easy way out. It is a powerful tool, a fresh start, and a profound commitment to a new way of living.

My unique coaching approach: Lived experience, real results
I don't coach because it's a business opportunity. I coach because it's a calling, one shaped by over six years of living inside the very experience my clients are navigating right now. This is what sets my coaching apart:
- 220+ lbs lost and maintained over 6 years, not a short-term result, but a long-term lifestyle built through real work, real struggle, and real strategy.
- Lived experience across all post-op stages, early post-op adjustment, the mid-journey stalls, the emotional complexity of long-term maintenance. I have lived all of it.
- Deep understanding of both physical and psychological dimensions, bariatric life isn't just about food. It's about identity, relationships, head hunger, body image, and the long rewiring of a relationship with eating that began in childhood.
- Committed bariatric advocate, I actively work to break the stigma around all forms of weight loss, challenge inadequate support structures, and push for better resources at the patient and provider level.
- Certified Health and Wellness Coach: My personal experience is combined with professional certification to provide you with evidence-based strategies and compassionate support.

My promise: Bold, Authentic, Determined, Advocating, Strong & Supported
After visiting this page, I want you to feel empowered and understood. My work is built on these core values:
- BOLD: We tell the truth about the journey — including the hard parts. The stalls, the hair loss, the emotional eating, the 2 a.m. spirals. We don't hide behind perfection or curated highlight reels. Boldness is the foundation of trust, and trust is the foundation of transformation.
- AUTHENTIC: My story IS the brand. Real experience, real credentials, real results — no fabricated before-and-after, no paid endorsements that don't reflect the BADASS lived reality. Authenticity means showing up as ourselves so our clients feel safe enough to do the same.
- DETERMINED: We show up every day — for ourselves and for our community. Determination isn't the absence of hard days; it is the decision to keep going through them. We model the grit we ask of our clients, and we celebrate determination in all its forms — including the quiet, unsexy kind.
- ADVOCATING: We push for better care, better resources, and better understanding for bariatric patients everywhere. We challenge stigma in medicine and society, amplifying the voices of those often unheard.
- STRONG: Strength isn't just physical. We build mental resilience, emotional regulation, and relational confidence alongside any physical health goals. A BADASS client is strong when they set a boundary, ask for help, say no to diet culture, and choose their wellbeing over someone else's comfort.
- SUPPORTED: No one does this alone. Community is at the absolute core of everything BADASS does. Being supported means having a space where your questions aren't judged, your setbacks aren't shameful, and your victories — scale and non-scale — are celebrated loudly and sincerely.
